Are you into fairy tales, disney, etc? What are your favorites? .
.
I don't watch Disney movies often, but if I had to choose a favorite it would probably be Beauty and the Beast. 10/10 because of the library πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ As for reading fairy tales, I honestly prefer reading mythology to fairy tales, but I don't do much of either. Definitely more of a novel person. .
.
Once Upon a Time shirts are available only through the end of the month, so snag one while you can. It and Marauder's Map will be leaving with February ☺️ .
.
Unrelated news, but I took this picture at the beginning of the month, and holy cow the bump has grown significantly since then. Despite my doctors freaking out and sending me all over the place getting ultrasounds because the baby is "too small"! πŸ˜‚ Being pregnant is exhausting, y'all. I Capture the Castle had been one of my favorite books since high school, back when I was young and naive and still thought I was meant to be a writer (πŸ˜‚). Back then it captured my heart; Cassandra's sweet, creative spirit, her eccentric family, and the beautiful mouldering castle they lived in were the perfect getaway. Upon rereading it as an adult I found the magic still intact. I painted Godsend Castle, the castle from the story, a few days ago and it was a joy revisiting the story in my proper artistic form - painting, not writing as I always thought when I was young; funny how our true passions emerge as we mature πŸ˜†. I can't properly describe why this book meant so much to me when I was younger, other than how strongly I identified with Cassandra, the narrator. But I can definitely say that it will remain important to me for forever, probably πŸ’›
.
.
What books are like that for you? Books that rather defined you or your reading life as a kid, and still remain important to you even now? .
.
PS, I've decided to do an original paintings sale in my stories later today, so be on the look it for that. The paintings up for grabs will mostly be oldies but goodies πŸ˜‰ I meant to post this photo this morning and then wowww the day got away from me πŸ˜… But anyway.
Common Room Campfire mugs have been restocked! πŸ™ŒπŸ» Head to the shop to grab one 😎

In other news, can you believe this month is already almost over?? I'm in shock. Only about a week left to purchase my February exclusive tees, Marauder's Map and Once Upon a Time. .
.
Random reading update: I'm currently reading Six of Crows and Bunner Sisters, and listening to The Hate U Give on audiobook. Can I finish all three before the end of the month??? We shall see 🀣 All right, fellow #sweetbookishandpoldark readalong friends! Who has finished?? I finished reading ROSS POLDARK by Winston Graham a couple days ago and I loved it. Solid 4.5 stars from me. The third part was my favorite - much of the first two parts were focused on character development and story building (both of which Graham accomplished excellently), and ended up being somewhat slow for me. However, by the end I was both in love with Ross (πŸ˜‚) and super interested to see where the story goes in the next book. .
.
What do you guys think of Ross? Demelza? Who is your least favorite character?? Any favorite quotes you marked down? .
.
Don't forget about our watchalong of season one, episode one THIS Sunday at 8:30pm CST!
I don't know about you, but I am SO EXCITED to start watching 🀩
.
.
PS I have some epic paintings planned for this series and I cannot wait to get started on them πŸ˜†
