I started reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when I was ten years old. I was that weird little kid who literally spent her entire eleventh birthday waiting for her Hogwarts letter - yes, I had a firm enough grasp on reality (though I did have an avid imagination), but the wizarding world was just so alluring that I couldn't not hope.
It didn't end at age eleven though; as I entered my teenage years I read and reread the series, anxiously anticipating release days. In high school I dressed up as Harry Potter characters for spirit days, and threw an elaborate week-long Harry Potter themed party for the release of the sixth movie.
And now, as an adult, I can say that I am still a proud Harry Potter fanatic - I even got my husband hooked (who hadn't read any of the books or seen any of the movies) by reading them out loud to him while we whiled away hours in the car on road trips to see family. Harry Potter has been a part of my life for 14 years, and in many very real respects, still is. This is why I just had to create a book for my baby that captured those incredible childhood memories, that summarized the series in a lovely fabric book form.
My Baby's Guide to Harry Potter contains a hand-designed and -painted version of each book cover in the series along with a coordinating quote. I chose quotes that represented each book to me and also carry a lot of meaning - good ones to introduce to the wee ones. This HP baby book is available in my Etsy shop and can be customized with your favorite quotes. Please contact me with inquiries!
